There's a school in Hendon called SMSJ. It's one of the most popular schools in Brent/Barnet/Hendon. If you're alright with primary school level education, poor pastoral care and no consequences at all even in serious situations, sure go ahead and apply. Don't know how this school is still open and managed a "Good" Ofsted rating. If in the area, better to go with Bishop Douglass.

Im rather surprised by this post as many friends send their children there and have been happy. Also considering SMSJ as an option for my DD.

Could you please elaborate if able? Thanks!

@Stripepinkred I believe the reason the school has such a good reputation is due to the fact that the former version of the school St Mary's was closed as there was a lot going on in that school. There's a lot of harassment from the boys towards the girls and awful behaviour in slow paced lessons. Behaviour policy is inconsistently implemented and rather than excluding students, they do "managed moves" that inevitably send the child back to the school to cause disruption once more. There is too much focus on the primary and year 7/8 and they're learning the time in Year 10 and everything is unset. Many of the parents in the school would rather pay for intensive tuition rather than query the school about this. The many substitute lessons consist of a word search for 2 hours. I would truly consider Whitefield if your DD is academically gifted. The new headteacher Mr Hunt is brilliant and the education/opportunities/behaviour is exceptional there with sets from Year 7. If looking for a faith school, be willing to travel out of the area. Hope this helps (:
