Help needed - moving after Offer Day 2025

Hi there,
Hoping to get some advice please.

Made our secondary school selections for Sep 25 for DC and received an offer at a school which wasn't one of our higher preferences, so we're on waiting list for the preferred schools.

In the meantime, landlord have served us notice so we have to move now. Problem is we're most likely to move further away from the allocated school due to rent costs.

My question now is, if we move, how does that 1) affect the place DC already has been offered if we move further away from that school and 2) their position on waiting list for the other schools if we are closer?

Never been through this process before and we are anxious not knowing where DC will end up.

Is anyone able to shed any light?
Tried calling LA this morning and they said I had to put it in writing and it'll take a month to respond, but nobody could tell me just what would happen with our application. Would it be treated as a late application? What are the chances of the waiting lists even moving? Urgh.

I'll appreciate any advice you're able to offer.

Thanks for reading.

It won’t affect the offer you have (unless they demonstrate you used the address fraudulently ) but will update the position on any waiting lists.
