Hi there
DD very keen to apply for drama scholarships for senior independent schools. Could parents who have been through the process please explain How to create a portfolio? Is it in digital format or hard copy? Do you use a specific website to create the portfolio? Does she do it herlsef? If it is in hard copy how do you submit it with your application for a drama scholarship? Totally clueless as you can tell 😊

Every school DS applied to had a different format for this, so I would not assume there is one singular answer. One school asked for a physical book compiled by the student; one a series of essay questions answered online - some by the child and some by the parent; and one more an online portfolio situation.

If you’re looking for next year’s process, then I would just gather photos and evidence into a folder so you can drop in things as you go and have it all readily available, plus think of where you can get references. Creative people can be hard to tie down with returning a reference on time, so you don’t want to leave it to the last minute.
