Central Foundation Boys waiting list

Has anyone had any experience with the waiting list for CFB? We are 19th on his band waiting list and I'm just trying to guage how much movement there is in general for this particular school. I understand that it's dynamic and unpredictable, I'm just looking to hear any personal experience.

Hi there, I knew we were just far enough away that there was little chance to get in and we were right in the end. Though there were some years with kids further than us, we were too far out for the kids in my son's band last year. Best of luck to you!!

Thank you @AmandaJami for the quick reply! May I ask how far away you were? Were you over 2 miles away? Are you/ your son happy with the school where you ended up?

We are right on the cusp of 2m away, in Southwark. We got a place at Westminster City School (which was our third choice) and are for the most part happy. It's a huge adjustment and there have been some periods of difficulty, but I think it would be the case no matter where we ended up - no school is perfect.
