We have lucky choice of Dulwich College and St Dunstan’s. Former traditionally obvious choice. But latter has impressed and seems on up. And coed. Anyone had / having similar choice?

Which is closer/easier journey?

Pretty much same. On the bus.
Other difference is a sports scholarship at Dunstan’s which makes the cost different…

I’d be very tempted by DC… I really like Robert Milne who’s about to start as head there, I think he will enliven DC. Lovely buildings and grounds too. However, if your DS doesn’t have sisters, I can see there are benefits of co ed. Sorry that’s not too much help!

Can't really help but as a local resident I am aware of the mysogeny at Dulwich College and the scandal of sexual assult by DC boys on local girls.

The newish head at St Dunstan's is trying hard to raise the profile and academic performance of the school, which always used to be the if child doesn't get in to a school of choice there was Dunstan's to fall back on. That said, his way of raising academic performance seems to be telling parents to get tutors for their child if they fall behind or expect to be told to find a new school. Hmm...

I have girls so am a distant observer of DC, but I would be veering towards DC in your shoes. I agree that Robert Milne’s headship will be a great thing. One of the reasons we haven’t taken up DC’s place at Emanuel is the fact he is leaving. Dare I say that there is also a tradition, privilege and prestige to DC which very few boys are able to access. I’d find it hard not to grasp that.

@mugglewump do you mean the Everyone’s Invited letters? As those name checked pretty much every private school in S and W London. Or has there been something more recent ?
