NLCS / JAGS / LEH

Hello, my DD got 3 offers for year 7 from NLCS, JAGS and LEH. We like all of them in terms of location, curriculum, culture and the facilities after attending the open days. Now it comes to the decision time and we are still struggling. We will move once we accept the offer, therefore location is not a major factor.

We have attended the post-offer event of NLCS and JAGS and we found both of them have their good points. NLCS has the IB which is a bonus, while JAGS clubs and school life seems more fun. LEH, its modern campus also impressive.

Please give us some insights. Thanks.

I have a DD at NLCS and shared my comments earlier this morning on this thread if helpful

I would say there are loads of clubs and just random things happening every week so, trust me, your DD would not be bored! Look at the NLCS website and you will get a taster of the diverse range of what is going on: from the ski trip, to an array of music events to fantasy fashion a couple of weeks ago, to VEX Robotics or F1 in schools. There truly is something for everyone!

I am not as familiar with the other schools, but so far our experience with NLCS has been fantastic! Both in and out of the classroom.

Congratulations to your DD and good luck with the decision-making.

Are there any of them where you would stay where you live? I’d just then go for that one? Where do you live now?

hello, we have just accepted our offer for DD from LEH - no experience with the school previously but were very impressed by all it has to offer. Did you go to the offer holders morning yesterday?
My daughter was very happy that she could wear her apple watch she got for her birthday to school without being worried about it being a distraction, as phone signals are cut off during school hours!! 😂

We are now living in other city, therefore we will move closer to the future school anyway.

Thank you marigold19. Your sharing gives us confidence that the NLCS life will be more fun than just studying hard.

Undoubtedly LEH is an excellent school, that's why we applied after going to the open day. I specifically like its supporting card from students, souvenirs and Christmas card on the exam day, etc. It is so warm (also good for marketing). Your DD will enjoy her life in LEH 💟

They are all great schools

Pick based on where you would like to live. Are you familiar with the areas near to each school?

Lindtnotlint · 28/02/2025 19:34

We love JAGS - balance of fantastic academics, loads of fun and generally a down to earth approach (relatively speaking). Good diversity of kids.

but I agree that with three great offers choose the one that works for how and where you want to live.
