Another bursary question

DD offered place at 13+ with bursary….bursary not quite enough….school has asked what we would need to accept place….is this a good sign? Or are we getting our hopes up? Has anyone else been in this position? What was the outcome?

Fx 2 friends. One school.offerrd the extra 10% they needed. The other school didn't. 3rd friend was in need of a large increase and was told that the school could not match this from what the child had offered.

Using those 3 as examples I would say it depends on how large an increase it needs, how high your child scored on their tests and the school.

What percentage is it? Say they have offered 30% ask for 50% but really it depends - what is really affordable for you?
