DD in Y8 , received this target and forecast grades, Please make me understand target and forecast. Do they look okay ? DD wants to be able to get into the topmost universities. My education is not from UK, so trying to make a sense of it. Parents meeting is not until next month.

Thank you , she decided to drop off Geography and take history as wants to get into law school

Three students to Oxbridge could be a lot or average or few depending on the cohort size. Lots of schools don't have any students go or even have a sixth form.

Forecast grades is what she will achieve based on her growing up and working the same as now, but learning more as she gets older. Target grades are what they reckon she is actually capable of if she pushes herself. 9 is the highest possible 5 is a pass. These are good-excellent grades.

Thank you everyone for your contribution. I have learnt a great deal about these grades. DD today decided to drop geography and computing science. I do want her to take computing science as thinking world is getting more digital ever.
