Moving schools in year 8

My ds school was starting to improve and I had high hopes and applied for a place for my current year 6 daughter. The school is beset with problems but they all seemed to be heading towards resolution. Now the NE U has taken the school out on strike for a laundry list of issues and there is no end in sight. I don't want my children and their education to be in the middle of this fight and would just like to start afresh. Any recommendations for state schools in East London, particularly on central line? Private not an option. I know I will probably have to go on waiting lists but falling school rolls might open some places. Thanks!

Any school will have several teachers in each of the main unions and will therefore potentially close or partially close when strikes are called.
