Pirton Hitchin - school

We are looking to move to Hitchin from London. Considering local villages and in particular Pirton.

Does anyone have experience with:

• local primary school - Ofsted rated “requires improvement” but the actual report doesn’t seem too bad
• choice of secondary schools - could we realistically get our kids (boy and girl) into the single sex schools in Hitchin? The Priory is nearest.

I can't answer for the primary school but I have friends in Pirton whose children all went to the girls and boys schools in Hitchin.

The Priory isn't a bad school though. I know plenty of people whose children go/went there and have done well.
