Anyone waiting for Herts / N London 11+ results?

Our DS is only sitting two - Habs and St Albans. Second round for Habs next week, waiting to hear whether he will get invited back for second round of St Albans. I'm finding all this waiting is shredding my nerves, so if anyone else is in a similar position with these schools and fancies a pointless chat / baseless speculation on impact of VAT on applications / the process / Plan Bs, please say so!

@BarqsHasBite my daughter is at Queenswood so PM me if you have any questions. We are extremely happy with her academic progress and she loves the school (she never seems to want to come home!).

Hi, I'm the same here. My daughter let me promise her that we would wait for her to come back, and we would check the results together. I only want to look at the email to ensure I have prepared myself for her reactions. I feel that I should be the one less nervous. But in fact, my daughter is okay. Hope we all get good results for the schools we like. Bless you. Xx

Congratulations @DawsonsGeek , what a massive relief, and great they emailed so early before you’d had a chance to really start fretting.

@SunnyIslandSea in answer to your question about a taster day I’m assuming SAS doesn’t do one, and they just have the offer holder’s evening (plus the callback lessons were a bit of a taster).

From what someone said in relation to another school this is likely to be aimed at the “undecideds” and there may be current pupils as well as parents of current pupils to speak to. The Head has done quite a few sales pitches 🤭 speeches by this point so I’m not sure if he’ll do another one but I guess he may.

In fact we have an inset day on the day of the event an will be flying back from sunnier climes, so I’m not sure if we’ll be able to make it if we are lucky enough to get an offer. But as we are completely “decided” it’s probably not the end of the world.

@Kiko99 there is no way I’d be able to wait to look at the email until my son gets home! You have amazing self-discipline if you manage this, best of luck with the results.

Offers due to be posted today and emailed tomorrow- unless you have an unusually efficient postal service then you should hear by email first.

Hello all, how is everyone doing? Any firm decisions made from those who applied to more than one? No decision here but still very happy and relieved to have a choice! Feels like time has speeded up to normal now! Did not enjoy that Jan - Feb 14 wait AT all...

Hoping to go to the St A parents offer holder evening next week and the Habs parents & boys one later that same week. Would have been nice to have the boys at the St A one too as we want DS to buy into the decision.
