Maths/Algebra textbook for visual learner?

Can anyone recommend a visually appealing textbook and/or comprehensive video resource for Year 9 to GCSE algebra? DS finds it the most challenging area of Maths, and can't concentrate well on long verbal explanations.

I have heard good things about "Everything You Need to Know to Ace Maths" from another parent. Quite American but looks very visual/colourful and easy to read.
