Distressed mother

My child has been repeatedly physically assaulted by the headmistress's son at our private school. Despite multiple complaints, the school hasn't taken effective action to address the bullying. My child was recently victimized again. The school cites GDPR and refuses to disclose details about the incident. I'm deeply concerned for my child's safety. What steps can I take to ensure their well-being and hold the school accountable?

Move your child to another school immediately. Report the assaults to the police. Follow the school's complaints procedure, but as it's a private school it's not going to have the same effect as if it were a state school. Report the school to whoever they use to inspect the school (OFSTED? ISI?).

You could report it to the LADO Officer in your local authority...I know it's a private school but they also cover other establishments not necessarily maintained schools

How old is he? Is it practical to move him? I wouldn't be happy with the way the school were handling this issue.

Use the fact it’s the headmistresses son to wave any penalties associated with a speedy exit.
