Hi, has anyone had experience with this school? Speciffically the upper school? Looking to change schools and this one came up, we love the ethos but the amount of students and lack of info does worry me. Any help appreciated xx

Steiner schools attract a lot of strong views, you should know. I have no personal experience but what I have read would make me wary.

I just looked at the one you mention and there is no way I would pay £11k+ a year for my child to sit just five GCSEs, with no GCSEs offered in MFL, history, geography, computing, DT, drama, music or RE. Also the number of upper school teaching staff looks woeful – one “class” teacher and four sort-of subject-specific teachers, only one of whom (French) I would describe as a specialist.

In most secondary schools you will (or would hope to) find specialist teachers in maths, science, MFL, history, geography, music, PE and a range of other subjects. Certainly at GCSE level.

What appeals about the school? Is it something you could find somewhere else?

Coupled with some decidedly 'National Socialist' racial beliefs
