I keep refreshing my email! Does anyone know roughly what time they tend to send the results?

I am wondering the same thing. But I think timings will be different every year. When trying to figure out the timing for the Tiffin stage 1 test, I thought it would come out end of school day, but it ended coming in the morning. At least we know results will be sent today!

Ribenaberry73 · 23/10/2024 12:40

I'm assuming Wandsworth send near end of day. This is pure speculation and based on when I received the test day email, which was after 4pm.

Dallasdays · 23/10/2024 15:38

Email 2 years ago for my DS was just after 4pm....

PatientVesta · 23/10/2024 18:46

Got it at 4:41pm! Just shy of the minimum in previous years for Graveney, wondering if it’s still worth putting it as a first choice to stay on the waiting list.. what does everyone think?

Can I ask what they mean by the previous years scores as of 31st Aug? If we don’t get an offer in March, could we still be eligible in August?

We are also looking at Graveney but shy of LY scores as of March but within the August scores.

Does anyone know what the lowest score entrance was this year? So by August 2024?

Yes it’s in the email. It was 238…

My child got just below that, which was a bit disappointing, so I don’t really know what to do…

Some kids will have higher scores and have an offer in March, but people go private, go to grammars, move out, etc. so the children below will be on the waiting list and slowly be offered a place, based on their score.

There is movement because people chose grammars, privates etc as pp said. Plus the bulge birth rate has passed so in theory it should be a little easier however VAT may put off some parent who would have chosen private.

Dont discount then unless you have 5 other definite choices.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. We have been very keen on Graveney from the beginning but she has now got a confirmed offer through the Chestnut Grove Art Specialist route. A bit undecided now on what to do. Any suggestions on which is a better choice- Graveney Vs the CG Art route?

Bikessmikes · 23/10/2024 20:24

I think Graveney has a good art dept but don’t know anything about CG I’m afraid.

Tricky one isn’t it. We have a confirmed music place at Harris Wimbledon and we would get into St Cecilia’s on a foundation place. Our dilemma is which order to put. She also got a pass on Chestnut Grove but not the top 30.

I do know Graveney has an excellent music offer and offers tuition in dozens of instruments. I have seen some of their school productions which are fab.

Yes I know that too. We will most likely keep Graveney as first choice, knowing full well she probably won’t be offered a place in March. But if it’s our first choice she will automatically be put on the waiting list and then who knows what can happen by September. Even after I think they stay on the list don’t they?

That’s really interesting @PatientVesta, thank you. DC has a confirmed place at Chestnut Grove (languages) but prefers Graveney. We started prepping for the WT late - in August! - as were originally going through the private system so had a place without VR/NVR. DC would have got in by September looking at last year’s scores but wouldn’t get a place in March. Going to be a nervous wait!

Out of interest, where did you see the September score? We ended up putting Graveney as first choice too just in case, but totally prepared to get offered another and stay on the waiting list.

Should have said August looking at email. Referring to 31 August scores.
