I conducted research on good secondary schools in Maidenhead, specifically for children who do not gain admission to High Wycombe or Marlow Grammar School. I found that the area where you live in Maidenhead is also important, as some school admissions are limited to students residing within a 1.5 to 2-mile radius. This policy leaves families in the Cox Green area with fewer options.

Additionally, Cox Green Secondary School has recently received a poor rating regarding academics, student behavior, and bullying issues, making it a less favorable choice for families seeking quality education for their children.

Please find attached a comparison table compiled from various sources, including Ofsted, Parrtot View, and Mumsnet.

I would appreciate your thoughts on which secondary school you believe offers the best academic performance and student behavior and please poll

Everything can be twisted on paper. Rather than asking Mumsnet it would be a better use of your time to go to the open days, talk to staff and pupils and get a feel.

Data doesn’t reflect how your own child will perform.

Yes as PP said you need to go and visit! The stuff online is only useful up to a point. As for reviews, well most of the people reviewing will have an axe to grind so is unlikely to be a balanced view.

Many schools only take from a small radius. My local one goes to about one mile.

And frankly - all schools will have some behaviour issues!
