Hi, my DD passed the 11+ and we luckily are in catchment for both of the Aylesbury schools.
Im very torn and was hoping for some feedback.
I was set on the girls school, but recently ive heard it has a high percentage of young girls with eating disorders and a toxic 'mean girl' feel. I was surprised to hear this as loved it when viewed

Ive been told the HF is a softer more inclusive school but not without its problems.
i know every school will have similar problems and lots of opposing views

would appreciate any feedback at all

I went to the High, and vowed that no daughter of mine would ever endure that place.
Thankfully I only had sons. Both went to grammar.
But anyone I have met through life (still live in area) has a much more rounded, sensible and realistic outlook on life. Only reason my boys went to AGS was although it was a bigger school it was on a much bigger site. My oldest had undiagnosed ASD, and noise was a huge issue for him. AGS was not a 'quiet' school (are any?) but the general school noise didn't seem as concentrated somehow.

My son went to AGS, he hated it, wished he'd gone to the Floyd.

My daughter though..thought a dead cert for the Floyd, but she chose AHS (still there), and loves it.

I'd heard lots of scary stories before she started.

The pastoral care is amazing, she went through a rough time and they were excellent.

She's shy and quiet, but still fitted in.

I think it's changed a lot since PPs experience.
