Any Suggestions for best comprehensive state schools in Sutton

Hi everyone, I’m seeking your thoughts and suggestions on the best comprehensive state schools in Sutton for my son. Unfortunately, he did not clear the Sutton entrance exam, so I’m unsure which schools to prioritize on the CAF form. He has, however, met the qualifying score for Greenshaw. I've also heard about Glenthorne and John Fisher schools but don’t have much information on any of their performance, school environment, or teaching staff. My son is quite a quiet child, so I’m looking for a school with a warm, friendly atmosphere that also offers good academic performance. Any insights or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi
I'm afraid that the first step is loking into the dstance checker as nearly all schools are oversuscribed. You can check distance (and previous years catchment areas) in the link below:

-Glenthorne is a performing arts orientated school. It is famous for being strict, very strict so it doesn't suit every child. But it general, it's a very good school.
-Greenshaw is going to be under refurbishment for the next few years. Will this be disruptive? Who knows! I know families (with kids there) very happy, and others not so much but I was quite impressed with the quality of the student's work.
-Cheam: many people say it is great but I disagree ( I did work there very briefly in the past). The good thing is that becaue of its size, it is very likely your son will find his tribe.
