School won't give it to DS as they want everyone to work with the same info so he just has the single page. He refuses to learn it unless he knows more... I'd just like to get my hands on the book as i think school have a rather odd attitude here so does anyone recognise it please?

Just done a Google search and it looks like the ‘Activate, Question, progress, succeed’ books.
They’re on Amazon, different ones depending on the stage

It's about the periodic table so if he wants more info it's easy to look it up. The exact book doesn't really matter does it?

Or is he trying to pre-empt the next topic they will cover?

Thank you @ExquisiteEmelda that looks possible

@twomanyfrogsinabox Yes he could be he does have some SEN and believe me the uphill battle of his homework is horrendous. If having the book will make him more likely to engage then it's worth every penny to me. He literally needs 1-1 supervision to get him to do it so the less stress the better. We have a lovely book about the periodic table his sister had (she's at uni now) but he's no interested in it has to be the right one

Just a warning, the next topic might use a different book. Sometimes schools mix and match useful bits from different textbooks.
