Secondary school in Biggleswade

Hello,

Moving to Biggleswade with my DH and 10 y.o. in around March. Asking for an advice on the secondary schools in the area.

Also considering all-through schools to transition in the mid of the year and continue into Year 7, but not sure if it's a good idea.

Currently thinking about:
Pix Brook
The Knights Templar
Etonbury
Bedford Free

Any advice is much appreciated

Google high achieving secondary schools in Biggleswade and a big list comes up for you to look at and compare.
Also telephone the schools and ask could you come in and look around when you can.

My nieces and nephews went to Camborne from Biggleswade (then 6th form in Cambridge). They all did very well there.

Knights Templar is y7+ and oversubscribed. Not sure if you'd get in from Biggleswade, apart from for Sixth Form.

All the ones you mentioned are out of your catchment area for Biggleswade, so you’d need to see what was available in your catchment or ask admissions of any like Pixbrook have space.

the closest school to where we plan to reside is for 13+, so not the right fit for us in the nearest 3 years or so

Pix Brook is the closest to where we plan to reside. But knights Templar has many good reviews , so I added it to the list for visiting before applying

You won't get into Knights Templar from Biggleswade.
