GCSE results date 2026

Just what it says in the title really.
Does anyone know what the 2026 GCSE results date will be?
We’re hoping to go away on a big holiday but don’t want to clash with results day. I know it’s usually middle to end of August but it would be really helpful to have an actual date.

I believe it's always the third Thursday in August, so 21st next year

Sorry - totally missed the year! I would place bets on 20th then, but who knows if something will change drastically with education policy etc between now and then!

You also need to consider accepting your college/ sixth form place. Some do it by phone, others online but most expected you to enrol in person and are given an exact day to enrol after or on results day.

I think we’re just going to make sure we have an early holiday and keep the last two weeks of August free so that we don’t miss it.
