Greenshaw High School

DC just sat 11+ and narrowly missed out on Wilson’s, Wallington, Sutton Grammar but passed for Greenshaw High School. I know nothing about this school. It seems to be partially selective so offering 60 places based on ability, otherwise it seems to be a normal
comprehensive. Before I ask to visit, what’s the point of offering ability places when it seems they don’t have sets. Anyone had a child go to this school and could provide views? Thanks!

Can I ask what marks you got please? Our son has done the same. Were the mark higher for Wilson’s? Thanks 😊

it is a comp in a big trust. Friend's DS goes there, they weren't happy with the results at GCSE but sometimes that is down to the school rathe than the kid.
If that is what you were offered and you cannot afford to pay , and that can be a gamble too, I would take it. Hopefully someone on here has a Kid who is there.

What do you mean by ‘you can’t afford to pay’?

Thanks, I think this is what I wanted to confirm my understanding on. I don’t get why they have selective places and in the grammar testing process if zero benefit. I guess only benefit is to give another school
option if not in catchment?

Hi... I am in the same boat now. Have you got any reviews for Greenshaw which can help me decide if I should mark Greenshaw as preference in CAF. I am super confused. Thanks! xx
