Tiffin School sixth form Entry

Hi,
My son is applying for tiffin's school sixth form. When I was submitting the application, the form did not ask my son's current school report. Could anybody please let me know, when they would need this. Please let me know how the application works. It would be really appreciated.

@FIKhandid you get any further with this? From what I can tell, the admissions policy has changed and offers are now only made based on actual results (ie on / after results day) and there are no longer any interviews / conditional offers (which were discussed at length in the thread you were pointed to above)?

@Sunnyside12 you've read the 2026 policy. The OP's child is applying for September 2025, so the policy is still dependent on predicted grades.

There were never "interviews", just "meetings".

Thanks @Slippersandrum- I wasn’t sure if they’d moved to this policy already, but it sounds like they have. It makes it very tricky when there’s no clarity pre results day.

That's interesting. Clause 20.1(i) of the determined 2025 policy says that estimated grades will be used (see https://www.tiffinschool.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Admissions-Policy-2025-26-.pdf) but, as you say, it looks like they've now added a clarification note to say they won't be making offers until August this year. The policy doesn't change formally until 2026.

Use of estimated grades wasn't objective, so they are doing the right thing.

They do still have one issue though - their website says that sixth form applications closed in December, but the National Admissions Code says schools can't refuse to process late applications.

Does the support of Tiffin School for sixth form students enough for preparing A level exam and universities’ entry? For example, teachers put effort, revision classes during half term, helping students to get relevant work experience. Thanks everyone!
