Winchester Service Premium Schools

Hello! Does anyone know of schools in and around the Winchester area that have service premium as part of their selection criteria, i.e. being eligible for service premium means that you are more likely to gain a place? Interested in Kings, Westgate, Henry Beaufort etc but sadly we are out of catchment.

I am not aware of any, but you could check the admissions criteria.
Which is your catchment school? I hear good things about Perrins.
(Everyone who wants to can go to PS afterwards anyway.)

Basically, if it's not in the school's published admissions policies, then no.

The word 'premium' doesn't seem to be in the admissions policies for any of the schools you mentioned, but I'm searching on my phone, so may have missed something.

You can access the policies for any Hampshire school through the LA website.

No it's not on the criteria.
What is your catchment school? Generally the schools around Winchester are good. Thornden, Toynbee, The Romsey schools, Perins, Testbourne.. They are all good.

As far as I know the services premium is Hampshire policy so the same for all Hampshire schools. It doesn’t get you much further up the list. Look at the admission stats and you will see Henry and Kings take more out of catchment. I know people coming in from Eastleigh and Basingstoke for these schools. The local Army camp in worthy down is in Henry B catchment so it would have a few service kids.
