John willmott school Sutton Coldfield

Do anyone have an opinion on John Willmott school in Sutton Coldfield Birmingham. I have read really bad reviews about it and the school admissions is under capacity.

I don't have first-hand experience of the school, but I have friends that live in and around Sutton Coldfield so know a bit about the schools in the area.

John Wilmott has historically been the least popular secondary school in SC and for a long time until recently has had an Ofsted rating of Requires Improvement. However, it has recently achieved its first 'Good' rating, and is generally considered to be on the up. It is changing its name to The Royal Sutton School, presumably in a bid to shake off its previous reputation.
