GCSE malpractice accusation

Arrggghhhhhhhh · 15/07/2024 03:54

My child received an email from school yesterday saying the exam board suspected malpractice in one question in a GCSE paper

does anyone have first hand experience of a similar situation or know of anyone who can give professional impartial advice

I fear for my child’s mental health

The exam board will raise this to the exam centre (your school).

The exam board will ask the school's Exams Officer for things like the seating plan, to see if there is a pattern, i.e. people sitting near each other all having the same answers.

The school will provide the relevant information to the exam board.

Ultimately, I doubt anything will happen... unless there is some fairly conclusive evidence.

Therefore, as hard as it might be... my advice would be to wait and see how things play out.
