My son has been offered a grammar school place in Royal Grammar School in High Wycombe. Is there a school bus or private bus operates from Burnham or Slough?

That looks like a horendous commute. Are you absolutely sure this is the right school for him?

Looks like the nearest official school buses go from Beaconsfield or Gerard's Cross. Driving him there to meet the bus would take almost as long as driving him all the way to school. Might be better to get a public bus - one from Slough to the centre of High Wycome then change to a local bus to get from the centre to the school. Can you find out if anyone else from Slough/Burnham goes there, including in other years? You may be able to organise a lift share.

Which year will your son be in? Slough and Burnham are a bit out of catchment I thought, so most people are not travelling in from there.

@Gayathrim24 Whst was wrong with Burnham Grammar? Surely closer? Are you an appeal case? Schools are allocated on 1 March. Yes. It’s a horrible journey in from Slough or Burnham because RGS is essentially at Terriers. Only 20 mins right now from Burnham, but way more with queues at busy times. There might be a route from Bourne End to RGS.

When you applied what were the transport options?
Are you waiting on a place at Burnham Grammar? Hopefully one will come up.
