Did you have to show council tax forms or any proof of address and if so showing what period of time at that address.

are you seriously thinking of cheating?

Ilovehousemusic · 09/04/2008 21:11

bang out of order whoever is doing that. yes you have to show you are on the electoral register and other proof of address and rightly so. pisses me off people that do this. totally immoral.

frogs · 09/04/2008 21:14

Yes, you have to show multiple proofs of address, now often including something that actually ties the child's name to the address, eg. child benefit or tax credit letter.

If you're that desperate, move house, don't cheat.

lupy · 09/04/2008 21:21

It's not for me, I know 3 people who have cheated and obtained their first choice schools even though they live further than me. I was hoping they would get caught, nothing seems to be happening, they must have got away with it.

Surely you can just call the council tax office and add your name to the bill. Same with child benefit book and utility bills. It's so frustrating, why is it so easy for these people to get away with it.

I think they do a random sample. I know i was asked for proof of address for about the year before applying for a place for DD. this despite it being the only school within many mailes and the only school she could possibly have gone to.
