I'd suggest asking MN to amend your title to include the area or the school names in. Most people clicking on this thread won't have heard of any of them!

Where do you live? Apart from the one which has places offered to the 30 applicants with the highest Aggregation score in the Kent Test, their admissions are by obtaining a pass, then applicants ranked by criteria such as LAC / PLAC, Pupil Premium, sibling, with 'on distance' being the final criterion.

aggregated...

How far away are you from each?
How academic is your DC?
Any other things important?

Just saying 'choose a school' is not helpful.

Bluevelvetsofa · 16/06/2024 09:56

You don’t choose a school, you select a preference. The best method is to visit schools, decide which you prefer, see whether you meet the admission criteria and list the ones you think would be suitable.

Why those and not Hillview?

clary · 16/06/2024 12:40

I agree with pps @Purni , more info would be helpful. How near are you to these schools? Is your child likely to be offered a place at more than one?

Yes you don’t choose, you express a preference; you’re not guaranteed a place just bc you list it on your form.

I would look round and consider the needs of your specific dc - academic, GCSEs offered, bigger or smaller school, how would they get there?

Why those and not Hillview?

Clue in the highlight, I suspect?
