Any current parents around? I’m thinking of DC taking the governors exam in autumn but interested in views from existing parents. She is scoring well on verbal reasoning but she is dyslexic so I want a school that copes with SEN in bright children. A primary teacher once told her she was stupid because of her spelling and I don’t think ultra strict schools are a good fit.

Be careful with Mary Mags if you have a child with SEN. There are several cases at the moment against the school regarding them off rolling SEN kids, putting them isolation etc. It's been very sad to see what this school has done to some local families and their child's education.

@Artsyblartsymum thank you. Can you say any more? I thought off rolling was illegal? And generally it has a reputation as an inclusive school so helpful to know more. Please PM if you don’t want to say on the thread. Thank you

Can you please give more details? Visited SMMA the other week and they were big on Sen support, at least during the presentation...

Isn't it illegal to do that 🤯

It is illegal but they’re very clever at doing it. I’d like to believe they’ve improved, but they already ruined several kids school lives and have many valid complaints some of which are very serious.
