How sad it is that the 30+ Form 11 pupils not returning for the 6th Form and who effectively had their last school day today (pre-GCSEs) didn't have a single member of the SMT come down to give them good wishes - not the HM, either Deputy Head, not Head of Year, no-one.
Kids who have, in many cases, been at the school for upwards of 11 years didn't warrant the courtesy of a simple word of encouragement for the future. And these are amongst the same whose results the school will crow about later in the year.
Community? The St Benedict's community disappeared five or six years ago and certainly isn't going to be refreshed by the current HM.

Genuinely puzzled by this message. I'm a year 11 parent as well - the head has given them words of encouragement and Miss Allen gave a final assembly for advice ahead of the start of exams. A real shame in particular that anyone in the year could possible say that Mr Foley has not
been a wonderful encouragement to all. He organised a fantastic party for all the kids on Wednesday before they went on exam leave!

To be fair, I was talking specifically about those leaving St Bs, not the entire year and I'm quite willing to accept that my opinions may be a little coloured - doesn't make them wrong but maybe a wee bit slanted.
