What's your view on Queen's Gate senior school? Is it really artsy school? I mean art is great, but what is the academics story? We are getting some mixed signals.

My dc went there and I highly recommend. They will support your dd to get the best possible academic results in whatever path she wants to follow. Teachers are extremely dedicated across all subjects. It is not highly selective so the results reflect that but the value add for each pupil is excellent.

Also interested in QG :) @QGMum what is the community feel like in the school? Nurturing, friendly? I am keen on a smaller style school for my daughter but equally important is that it is an encouraging environment and supportive between the girls, rather than too competitive!

There is a good community feel and it is an exceptionally friendly school. That is its USP. As it is small there are opportunities for girls to make friends across year groups. However year groups are small and experiences can differ depending on the cohort. I did not notice that it was competitive among the girls as it is a less selective school so anyone super competitive would choose a more A list senior school if they can.
