I have two daughters, both of which go to OHS. The younger one ( 16 in november) is looking at applying to mcs - most girls in her year are obsessed with wanting to go there!! But I can't help but feel like mcs would be a bad environment for her - I've heard quite a lot of negatives. She is aiming to go oxbridge and I was wondering if maybe an oxbridge farm such as MCS could put her at disadvantage in terms of uni applications. It is quite pricier than OHS - Is it really worth it? Are the teachers that good?
Or is the better option to just leave her in all girls school where she will most likely be more relaxed. She would love to go co-ed so that's the main factor here. If anyone's daughters/sons go there for sixth form - could you please tell me how the environment is with the girls/boys? Will she get better a level results at ohs because to be honest - the grade boundaries are so high at mcs so are teachers rlly good?
