West London 6th Forms

Hi. I'm moving to Ealing Common and looking for a good 6th form for my daughter. I have applied to Chiswick School and looking at West London Free School and Hammersmith Academy. I am 4 weeks late in applying. I wanted to ask if anyone has had experience of the sixth forms here and if they can recommend them. Which is the best non independent 6th form near Ealing Common?

Ellen Wilkinson, Ada Lovelace, any school in ealing. Chiswick is quite a trek from there.

Twyford has a good reputation and a number of pupils move there from local private schools each year.

Independent: St. Benedict’s Sixth Form

State: My son went to West London Free School secondary and Sixth Form (Sixth Form is excellent and my son is now in his third year at UCL’s Bartlett School of Architecture). They have amazing Sixth Form teachers!

Chiswick School (Chiswick Secondary) and Twyford C of E are also excellent for Sixth Form. You have very good selections in those 3.

I’m back!
Based on your location: Twyford C of E.

I think twyford would be unlikely to accept a late applicant as they have done all their tests already.

Thanks everyone. I'll contact Twyford now. Didn't know about this one but good to know that Chiswick School and West London Free School are both recommended too.

Is Ada love lace a good school? Is it very religious as a Church of England school do they do morning worship and regular Church attendance at the school I’m not a Christian but would like the school for my son because of the good GCSE results please if anyone knows any information thank you in advance

As far as I know the Ada sixth form does not do A levels, they do T levels. Children from Ada who want to do A levels go to Twyford but they have their own entry tests. You may be able to get in as an in-year applicant but it’s a highly competitive school.

also, yes Ada and Twyford are both very religious schools. Ealing fields is also run by the same group but doesn’t have a sixth form and isn’t religious but they have submitted an application to become religious.
