Surrey Schools Financial Difficulty

We have heard that two Surrey Schools owned by Bridewell Foundation (King Edwards Witley and Barrow Hills) are in financial difficulty and may not be able to cope with increases in costs expected to come from changes to teachers pensions and vat in school fees. The rumours are that they have threatened all staff with dismissal of they do not agree to new contracts by Easter that reduced the schools staffing bill. This is really worrying as we considering the senior school for our son who is in Year Five. I contacted the school but they refused to comment as I'm not a current parent.
Are there any people here with links to the school who can clarify whether the rumours are true and what is going on there at the moment?

Its the Hindhead site which has been sold in 2023 (there is a pending planning application) - that site would have been good for consolidation of the junior and senior school so writing on the wall since at least then (UT buying in 2019 was a distressed/rescue sale and purchase). Agree Farnham lane site is not workable for a massive real estate development

Just seen this. Will be interesting to see what happens to the Farnham Lane site; may have to go for a trip down memory lane when it is empty - I went there for 7 years in the late 80s/ early 90s, when it was the Royal Naval School before it merged with the Grove. It was quite magical being tucked away like that.

We used the climb out the windows of the 5th form boarding house and go up onto Hindhead Common to drink and smoke!
