Still waiting for news from Whitgift, Ibstock and Harrodian. Checked the Ibstock portal but no change. Anyone heard from these 3 yet?

We finally got all the indies results! Thank you to everyone on this thread to keep my sanity, as my brain had been spiralling out of control this week. Still a bit to go for the state option!

Hi all - congrats to all the children who’ve worked so hard.

as we sift through the results, I realise how little we still know and would welcome some inputs / advice.

our daughter is in at NHEHS and FHRP and waitlist at CLSG (probably her top choice) and SHHS.

between NHEHS and FHRP, there’s not much in it from a commute standpoint (FHRP is close and we are directly on the NHEHS bus route) but wife and I are leaning NHEHS because of the academic results and the more suburban environment, but I’m not sure either are good reasons for that bias. FHRP has an offer holders morning, NHEHS doesn’t which is frustrating but would welcome any inputs either way.

on the waitlists, any experience with CLSG and SHHS? The mail from CLSG was awfully nice and very encouraging but I don’t want to get our daughters hopes up when it’s her first choice, especially when she as other great choices.

can please anyone tell us if they still waiting from Latymer Upper since it looks like is the only school that we have not received results ?

This is such a supportive thread. Let's try an be as supportive to each other as we can outside too.
For any with multiple offers (which is amazing) please let's all think about some of the DCs that are sitting on waitlists and all the uncertainty that brings. I am not saying rush any decisions (way too important and it's right to take whatever time needed to come to a conclusion), but when a decision is made, let's try to get those places back in the system as soon as we can to help out those who are desperately waiting for them. It's a cruel process, as parents there is little we can do about it. In this small way we can help. So I say, let's help when we can.

@Wondermumof4 yes I believe they do keep it short in the hope/expectation of offering off it. Remember when state results come out on 1 March it will all shift as a number will also have got places at grammars and local outstanding schools

DS has completely blown me away and received all offers inc Hampton, KGS,Emanuel.

Congratulations to all those with offers and to those with waitlists for their top schools I’m sure everything will work out and I know your DCs will end up at the right school for them.

Thank you all for keeping me sane. You’re a wonderful bunch, and your DCs will have great outcomes just seeing how much you care about their education.
