Streatham & Clapham High versus Sydenham High

Our daughter has just received offers of a place at both of these schools, so now we have decide which one to go with!

SCHS is much more local to us and our daughter can walk there, which is its main selling point! Feel a little underwhelmed by the facilities on offer there, particularly the sports side of things, and I feel like they haven't really sold the school to me. I haven't met the new Head, as went on an Open Day before she joined, so it really is just a matter of convenience for choosing it.

Sydenham High on the other hand is a train ride away, although I feel they have done a much better job of selling the school to me. The Head seems very warm and welcoming, on site sports facilities seem similar to SCHS but they also have access to offsite sports facilities too and team up with Dulwich Prep for a few activities which I like the sound of with an all girls school - something which I don't think SCHS do.

Appreciate anyone's thoughts, particularly if they have been in the same predicament

No experience of the schools but has friends from SHCS. I would say the journey to Sydenham would be a pain.

Go for the easiest journey!
Do they have offer holder events at both schools? Definitely worth going to.
I've definitely seen rowers from SCHS at various competitions if you think your DD may fancy that.

Both schools have offer holder events which we plan to go to. Hopefully SCHS will do a good sales pitch!
