Cheadle Hulme School/private school entrance interview

We've just found out that our DC has passed the entrance exam to CHS and we have an interview next week. Our DC is currently at a state primary school and we're hoping to get a bursary (would be the only way for them to go). Has anyone got information on what the interview might ask? Or this type of interview more generally? We're all very nervous as it's a fantastic opportunity and we don't want to blow it!

Friends who did this last year said that the questions are all to your child so they need to do the talking, not you. Child was asked what they would contribute to the school, why they want to go there, about their hobbies and what things they would be looking forward to at the school. If you are going for a bursary there may be a question along the lines of "why should we give the bursary to you and not someone else." Hope it goes well.

Coffee day? Offer day! That's the stress of waiting all day and getting nothing!

Do you know what type of english and maths assessment (governing body) they use for CHS for juniors?

How was everyone's CHS offer finally? We heard from the visit day there will be a larger cohort of year 7 this year. Still waiting for the fees struture for 2024-25 though.

Not sure for juniors while they use latest online CEM for seniors.
