@mumofboys323, has your ds got a 13 plus i/v next week? Has he been to other schools already as they are often quite similar? Ie a test often using a picture to see how the dc thinks and then a general interview including what book are you reading, why do you want to come to the school etc. if you search through old threads you will find lots of info.

@mumofboys323 , also you seem to be on lots of threads, if your ds has reached second stage at Brighton college, Eton, Harrow and Tonbridge he will be fine with a Hampton I/v. Not many people consider all these schools as they are very different.

Thank you for the feedback. I am a mum of triplets and each one has got into a different school stage. They all seem to be not bad with academics but my son for Hampton is very shy so I don’t think he will do well in an interview situation

Wow, you must feel it's a full time job. I hope it won't be your ds's first I/v and I'm sure his school will help him too. It's important that he knows why Hampton is his first choice school and how he will convey this to the interviewer. If he is sporty does he understand you choose football or rugby and there is no hockey or swimming. If he is musical does he know the standard is very high. Spend some time looking at the choices of lunchtime clubs and there maybe be something he wants to ask a question about like, "I love chemistry, can I join a chemistry club"? Best of luck, it's a great school and has pupils with all sorts of personalities but 13plus is a tough entry point due to the small number of places.
