As per title?

Anyone know what to expect pls?

Also does this mean my DD probably did well in the exam and interview assessment and now we are being asked to attend a bursary interview that may lead to a possible offer or it's just random ?

We are just waiting for offer/no offer decisions in February

Thanks

An anxious mum 😩

Hope someone comes along for you soon OP 👍

Well it's the next step on be awarded a bursary, so good news so far!
Of course it depended on your DD achieving an offer, but don't worry about the interview. The person/s just want to make sure the paperwork submitted is correct and will maybe clarify a few points. In our interview (not Jags) they even suggested we changed some estimates in our favour.
Good luck!

Hello.

My child scaled all the process with Jags. If they invite you for a bursary interview, there is a high chance you will be given one. Congrats in advance.

ChnandlerBong · 23/01/2024 13:22

Agreed - she's passed the academic hurdle and is on to the next stage. Not sure how tight the bursary funds are at JAGs though so remember she could always get a full fees offer.

Thank you for your response.

So you think she may have qualified academically ( passed the pass mark ) and that's maybe why I've been called to be interviewed further ?

Oh thanks. Makes me nervous and anxious to think she's passed and they probably want to offer her a bursary

Offer day is 8 feb . Nerve wracking 😩😩

@ucspur all the very best of luck to her- it’s a wonderful school

Mumm2024 · 25/01/2024 17:36

@ucspur I have similar busary interview appt with Jags and I'm also anxious as to whether this is random or a green light that DD passed. Will keep updating this post as time goes on...

Had mine already. All went well. They did say they are not doing this because my child has an offer / no offer as they have no clue and the school hasn't told them anything .who knows 😩

They just want to clarify a few things from my statements

Best of luck 🤞

Does anyone know if an academic scholarship assessment is a green light or close to a green light for at least a standard offer?

I've heard those being called in for an academic scholarship assessment are automatically granted a place , unless someone corrects me

Did your DC get an academic scholarship assessment?

DaddyKool1980 · 31/01/2024 05:10

Hey @bursaryint

yes, last week and week before for Bromley High. Ultimately we can’t influence anything, it’s done now but wondered if anyone had any experience of not being offered a scholarship but at the very least got an offer.

MomDase · 31/01/2024 08:14

Yes congratulations

DaddyKool1980 · 31/01/2024 08:21

@MomDase thank you, but until I see that email with an offer won’t take it as a given!

MomDase · 31/01/2024 08:30

Be rest assured of an offer..The offer of AS will be topped with a bursary if you qualify. But there must be an offer. They wouldn't left a smart kid go..

MomDase · 31/01/2024 08:32

Been assessed for AS means the child was a top scorer..so why not!

DaddyKool1980 · 31/01/2024 09:29

@MomDase great to hear! We haven’t applied for a Bursary so would be delighted with a standard offer!

MomDase · 31/01/2024 09:45

Goodluck!

DaddyKool1980 · 31/01/2024 10:02

Thank you!

MomDase · 08/02/2024 18:42

Hello did it go your way. Congrats either way
