Anyone with experience at Burford who can give some insight into the school and the boarding house? Thank you!

Hello there, my son has been offered at Burford too. I was wondering if you have any insight into the school. He will be starting Sep 24. Thank you.

Average school. Honestly there’s better, my child got bullied for a while but was then told to stop creating unnecessary drama. The school had a rule of not being allowed to go the toilet during in lesson which was difficult for my child as she struggled bad with heavy periods and often needed to change. She began to be told by teachers that she wasn’t allowed to take her bag to the toilet and was told to take anything out that she needed, like tampons and walk to the toilet with them in her hand. I mean imagine she leaked and needed to change her underwear. What do the school expect her to walk to the toilet with her knickers in her hand? Creates even more bullying for her 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️

I cannot imagine how we all coped at school. Heavy periods are not new. Neither are no toilet breaks in lessons new. I think Burford is popular. Plus boarding dc anywhere need some resilience and confidence. My DDs boarded at 11. Private school. As Burford is state boarding, it’s cheap! No private school can compare with Burford prices!
