Interested to know if your children are allowed to play ball games at secondary school. My Yr 7 son is greatly disappointed that his London school does not allow it (I think because of lack of space and supervision). Being quite sporty and also quite shy, he is not interested in sitting around and chatting but yet is too old to run around and play games like tag. Is this a normal rule in secondary school? The problem is comounded by the fact that we have sent him to a school further away where none of his primary school friends went to. And the more local one DOES allow ball sports.

Football is allowed on the astro at lunchtime at my child's school. In reality, even the really keen footballers from primary school are too intimidated by the older boys to use it in year 7. Definitely no chance any girls would brave it 🙁
