Could I please ask for honest opinions on how Mill Hill is now under the new head? many thanks

It's very early days... hopefully better though.

when you say hopefully better, could you please share your current concerns? we have an offer from there and looking at options at the moment. Many thanks

It's best you speak to current parents to be honest. I have a few friends with kids there and my daughter's best friend is there currently.
Generally though, the experience people have at Belmont seems much better than at Mill Hill, especially around academic expectations, pastoral care and SEN support. I imagine they know this and are working to fix it.
However, Mill Hill is a huge school and you will meet lots of people who love it and lots who hate it. As with any school, so much depends on pure chance eg teacher you get, year group etc. I am surprised the head already left though, she wasn't meant to leave till Jan.
I can pm you some specific things but honestly I don't want to bash the school as every school will have it's pros and cons. I'm not sure anecdotal negative experiences will be of much use to you, especially if you've already applied. You must see it as a viable option.

I would be grateful if you could PM the experience. Thank you

DS in year 11 at Mill Hill having gone through Belmont from year 3. Couldn't be happier - academic, social, co-curricular all great. The new Head is very new, he started after half term in October (had originally been due to start this term but the old Head had health issues so he stepped up earlier). Parents haven't yet met him, there are introductions planned for this half terms. Students really like him so far...

One son at Mill Hill in year 10. He’s extremely happy, has a close friend group and good relationships with his teachers. Doing well academically too which is a nice bonus! Also plays loads of sport- facilities are incredible. As above - too early to tell re new head, but I really liked the old one. Think she did a great job. Any issues with the school were a few years ago I think - before our time …
