Hi everyone, does anyone have any experience regarding St Edmund's College in Ware?

Sorry can't help, but my partner is interested in this school for our DD. I don't know why you would pay all that money for a private school when the academic results are weak compared to other private schools. A level results 28% of students were awarded grades at A*–A.

So I'm just curious why people would pay that money just to get these results? What made you interested in this school? :)

I visited the school last week and was quite impressed. The grounds are wonderful and all of the children and teachers I came into contact with were very polite and welcoming.
I'm not sure about A level results, but they do seem to do quite well at GCSE level.
I do prefer St Edmund's to the local comps in my area!

We know two families with children there. Both very happy. Academics are okay. But I know one of the girls is very bright and is winning awards and scoring high so if you're bright I think you can still exceed. What I will say, is that they always have fun things happening. School events, shows, trips are amazing. Remember it's the oldest catholic school in the country so they attend mass and say prayers, (our friends are not catholic) but they are very positive about the ethos.
