High Vis black Jacket

Now my son is at secondary school, he is commuting to school. He has to wear a black jacket/coat, but the roads around us are not well lit, so I'm looking for a black coat (not too heavy/warm) with reflective material on it! Has anyone seen any?? Luckily, my son doesn't care about brands yet! Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated

Is it worth getting a high viz waistcoat he could put on top of his coat. Even a black one with the silver reflective strips on would be great.

The madrassa near my mum's house has all the visiting kids wearing the yellow ones at this time of year. They are a great idea so kids can be seen.

Does he have a backpack on his back when walking? If so it might be worth adding somethingreflective to the backpack.

Amazon have a good selection of reflective things that don't look too obvious in daylight that you can add to zip pulls on a backpack etc.

Your chances of getting even the most un-brand-aware secondary school student to wear a reflective waistcoat are nil I would say!

Best thing you can do though is impress on him the importance of not wandering along with his head down looking at his phone and being aware of his surroundings. Secondary school pupils round here are like lemmings blindly stepping off kerbs.
