How does your independent school's grading system work?

Is there flight path or is it a ranking system? looking at schools at the moment and it's not clear what they all use? Anyone able to share any light?

Some flightpath others not. They all vary.
it doesn’t really matter at the end anyway, the dc all sit exams on year 11
