my MIL swears that when my SIL sent her dds to jags it was £20,000 a term at least. i think she's losing her marbles and more likely it was that a year, or quite possibly less. Nothing on the website.

anyone have a rough idea??
(MIL so annoying, i hope i can shut her up)

From the website here:

Fees

From September 2007, termly fees are £3,900 plus lunches.

SugarSkyHigh · 10/03/2008 19:26

I couldn't see that when i went on the website! thank you!
would the fees be around that sort of mark even at year 9 or 10 do you think?
they seem a lot less than MIL says.

At DS and DH school INDEP London school

the fees are the same years 7 up to 12

SugarSkyHigh · 10/03/2008 19:46

there's no way any school could be £20k a term is there? that's completely ridiculous?

even HARROW with full boarding isn't that much a term

NoNickname · 10/03/2008 20:05

Your SIL may have paid £20k for two DDs, for the whole year, ie £10k each per year - that would make sense seeing as it's now about £12k per year.

the most expensive boarding schools in the country will break £9000 per term this year (they are lurking just underneath at between £8600 and £8900 at the moment)

your MIL has confused termly fees with annual fees. and if it is a day school - then she means £20k per annum for BOTH children I expect

SugarSkyHigh · 10/03/2008 20:32

yes, i think she likes to make out that my SIL has so much money (as opposed to little old me) and the old bat has got confused in the process..
sorry to sound ungenerous
and thanks, i feel vindicated! You know what it's like when someone says something so preposterous that you suddenly doubt your own judgement and think you are the one who has made the mistake
(sorry this thread was really just an excuse for a MIL rant)

SugarSkyHigh · 11/03/2008 16:06
