Would be grateful to hear people’s thoughts and opinions on The Cotswold School in Bourton on the Water please. The Ofsted report says it’s outstanding but that was 8 years ago so would be great to have some more up to date opinions - both positive and negative. No school is perfect! TIA.

Ok up to GCSE — my ds really made some great friends. But had to take him out for sixth form as didn’t like some of the policies

Hello

My son just finished up his A Levels this summer at The Cotswold School and is now at the Uni of Bath. He spent all his senior school years at TCS and had a great experience. Yes you are right....no school is perfect but he had a super experience over all. He felt well supported and although we offered to view a range of colleges/independents etc for 6th Form, he felt that TCS offered everything he needed. The vast majority of his friends remained at TCS for 6th Form. One actually left but then ended up coming back again as the college he moved to did not support or challenge him enough. There are lots of opportunities to join clubs and not just sports clubs. I get that it is not for everyone and some kids are literally itching to leave after GCSEs but for academic achievement and expectation, we feel that we could not actually have secured a better education elsewhere for our lad...even if we had paid. Go and have a look around, speak to the teachers and Head and also the kids. Good luck for the future.
