Bromsgrove

We had a DC year 9 who is not feeling sufficient academic challenge at their current day school.
We are wondering about moving them to Bromsgrove to be a weekly boarder.
Anyone with kids at Bromsgrove? How is the academic challenge? DC is probably in the top 5-10 percent and quite studious so doesn't want to be spinning their wheels.
How is the boarding for UK based students?

I'm not a Bromsgrove parent but am local and have been for a long time. It isn't known for being particularly academic. Others with more knowledge might be along to correct me though as this is purely anecdotal.
