Hello everyone,
We would like to move from London to Swindon.
I already checked a few secondary schools and I am interested in applying for a place for my son in year admission for place of year 8.
Could you help me with the catchment area and criteria of Royal Wootton Bassett Academy and St Jon's Marlborough schools? Where do we have to relocate to get a chance for a school place? Thank you in advance.
All the best x

Both these schools are in the North Wilts Council area. Council web site has catchment details. They are both popular and have seperate catchments.

Bassett is possible from Swindon but you wouldn't be in catchment, there's a 'bus that runs. Whether you'd get in from Swindon is doubtful though, you'd need to live in catchment which is mainly Bassett itself.

Marlborough from Swindon is not doable. (Again I'd doubt you'd get in living so far away)

I know quite a few in West Swindon that go to RWBA. Grange Park especially.

Saying that year 8 entry will just be down to spaces in classes.
